ALL THE NATURAL BEAUTIES
It’s been a long time coming, but the wait is finally over.
ALL THE NATURAL BEAUTIES, the first book in the CJ O'Hara Crime Thrillers series, introduces Detective CJ O'Hara.
A cop starting over. A murderer on the loose.
Will she prove she belongs, or is this her final case?
Boston. CJ O’Hara is drowning in guilt. Still struggling with her family’s deaths, her emotions boil over when the driven policewoman fatally dispatches a culprit holding a gun to her colleague’s head. So when she’s denied a well-deserved promotion, she takes a job offer in Charleston, South Carolina, to track down a serial killer scattering the Lowcountry with corpses.
Though glad to be closer to the man who raised her, CJ attracts the wrong kind of attention as the city’s first female detective. And while clues remain scarce, the haunted cop battles local prejudice, an escalating body count, and a handsome new partner who may not be what he seems.
In a twisted race against time, is the transplanted Northerner the hunter or the prey?
All the Natural Beauties is the riveting first book in the CJ O’Hara crime thriller series. If you like complex characters, nail-biting page-turners, and surprise endings, then you’ll love John Deal’s whodunit.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t want the book to end. John Deal captures the essence of Charleston and develops CJ O’Hara as the central character, a natural beauty, who hopefully will be back soon (so I hope John gets to work and finishes the next one). Great story!
Couldn’t put it down!
John Deal is a great story teller. Well written, page turner with good character development. Just when you think you have things figured out, there’s a twist. Can’t wait to find out who is lurking in the bushes! Also - love a good female protagonist. Recommend
Can’t wait for the next book to come out by this new author. He will definitely be on my reading list.
This thriller had me hooked from the first pages. The author paints an intimate portrait of the Lowcountry and his protagonist, Detective O'Hara. It's a great mystery story with twists and turns that kept me reading late into the night.
